Cynthia Richards has spent her career working to improve the lives of children, youth, and families for more than 27 years, serving and supporting those impacted by substance abuse, trauma and out of home placement. Cynthia’s experience includes many years supporting
quality improvement and professional development for early learning programs and early childhood educators. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development, and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Cynthia currently works as a Program Monitor
and Referral Coordinator for the Parenting Collaborative, providing support to parents, caregivers and parent educators. She is a trained parent educator, certified Early Childhood Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) facilitator, and Certified Anger Management Specialist. Her professional journey has included work as a therapist, early childhood education coach, life skills, job readiness, social emotional learning, and professional development trainer.
Cynthia is also wife and mother to three sons, living and working in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and fully committed to improving overall child and family well-being, as well as deepening the awareness of the impact of trauma on families.
