Jessica Russell

A member of Vegas PBS’ staff for almost two decades, Jessica Russell’s efforts have helped expand the station’s early childhood and family education initiatives. Jessica currently oversees all Vegas PBS Ready To Learn children’s outreach programs and activities across Southern Nevada, including family engagement workshops focusing on the needs of the whole child: cognitive, social, emotional, and physical.   She is currently managing a four-year Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) grant to establish a collaborative of partners to work together to give children ages two to eight a stronger foundation in early science and literacy learning. Recently, Jessica and her team were selected to develop a PBS KIDS Family and Community Learning curriculum based on the PBS KIDS program, The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!, in which they created engaging and developmentally appropriate experiences for kids and families to explore, play, and learn together.  In her free time, Jessica volunteers for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southern Nevada.
