Irena Glover, Ph.D., M.S.W.

Irena J. Glover is an Assistant Professor at Madonna University and Adjunct Professor at Wayne State University, both in the Social Work Program.  She holds an MSW (Wayne State University) and a PhD in Human Services with a specialization in Family Studies and Intervention Strategies (Walden University).  In addition to teaching, Irena has a private practice where she specializes in individual and family/couples counseling.

Irena has worked in various settings, including Children’s Hospital of Michigan and with the Family Reunification Program. She also has experience with nonprofit and program development through her nonprofit organization, It Takes A Village. Her interests include parenting education, father engagement, working with at-risk children and youth, intergenerational issues such as poverty and teenage pregnancy, and individual and family counseling.
