Extension Parent Educator, North Dakota State University | Holly has been an NDSU Extension Parent Educator for almost 25 years and is enthusiastic about working with families. She is extremely grateful for the opportunity to walk with parents and provide them with tools and information to help them be the best parent they can. She wants parents and other care providers to know their relationships with young people are important and that those relationships are vital for their child to become the best version of themselves. Prior to Holly’s employment with NDSU, she worked for the ND State Hospital; ND Human Services; Community Action Program; Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center; and Head Start/Early Head Start. Her roles within each of these agencies involved engaging and connecting with people who are often underserved and marginalized within their communities. Holly values connecting with others, a sense of humor, lifelong learning, empathy, integrity, social justice, diversity, and grit. She appreciates her involvement with the NPEN board and committees and encourages others to join and celebrate parent education. |
