YaeBin Kim, Ph.D

YaeBin Kim is an Extension Specialist/Associate Professor with University of Nevada Reno Cooperative Extension (www.unce.unr.edu). YaeBin has a Ph. D. degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2010. YaeBin’ expertise in parenting education for parents of young children, child abuse and prevention, school readiness, and family literacy.

YaeBin has developed and provided several parenting education programs and workshops for parents of young children: Little Books and Little Cooks (cooking with kids), Family Storyteller Program (family literacy), Fun to Play for Preschoolers (school readiness), Child Safety and Welfare (child abuse prevention), Screen Time Smarts workshop (how to use digital media), Smart Parents Safe Kids Workshop (child safety) and Stepping into STEM (STEM education for parents of young children: developing).

YaeBin is the parent of a lovely baby girl who likes to read and play.
