Valerie Wajda-Johnston, Ph.D

Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Tulane University School of Medicine

Valerie is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tulane University in New Orleans and a Clinician at the Tulane University Parenting Center. Her clinical work focuses on assessment and intervention with toddlers through teens and their families. She provides training in the areas of infant mental health and child and adolescent psychology. In addition, Valerie provides outreach services to children in greater New Orleans through the Louisiana Children’s Museum. She has co-authored publications on the use of technology as a training, supervision and consultation aid, as well as on working with children with trauma.
