Andrew Garland-Forshee, Ph.D., HS-BCP
Secretary | Andrew Garland-Forshee is the Department Chair and a Member of the Faculty in the Department of Early Education and Family studies at Portland Community College, where he teaches courses on child development, family partnerships, and parent-child relations. Dr. Garland-Forshee has extensive teaching and professional experience in the fields of child, family, and human services. His research interests include LGBTQ issues in family studies, parenting education, and human services, and fatherhood and community development among gay and transgender men. Dr. Garland-Forshee holds a MA in Human Development (Pacific Oaks College), a PhD in Human Services (Walden University), and is a Human Services Board Certified Practitioner. In addition to his academic credentials, Dr. Garland-Forshee is the parent of an energetic and sparkly preschooler. |
