Liz Pearce received her Bachelors and her Masters Degree in Special Education from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Initially, Liz worked as a teacher with students experiencing severe behavioral challenges. She began conducting parenting education classes in 1990. She spent the next 13 years working as a behavioral consultant and parenting educator in Nashville.
Liz began working at Commonwealth Parenting in Richmond, Virginia in 2003. She worked as a Family Educator and program assistant, and became Executive Director in October, 2004. During her tenure, Liz was invited to offer weekly parenting tips on the #1 Top-Rated Morning Radio Show in the Richmond area. She joined the executive management team of the Children’s Museum in 2011, and served as Director of Parent Engagement until 2014, and then assumed the role of Director of Mission until February, 2016. She served as Chair of the National Parenting Education Network (NPEN) from 2012-14, and continues to volunteer as Web Content Manager with the group. She currently works as a Nonprofit Advocate and Consultant in Richmond, Virginia.
