Anne received her doctorate in Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and is also a licensed parent educator in Minnesota. Much of her work highlights the increasing role and presence of digital media in family life. She has partnered with local and national colleagues to develop and deliver parenting and family support programming that use text messaging, e-newsletters, and blogs to reach families (www.fyi.uwex.edu/parenting). She also facilitates a weekly Single Parent Support Group through Minnesota’s Early Childhood Family Education program in her school district.
Anne thinks NPEN plays an essential role in promoting the professional role of parent educators and providing space for parent educators to learn and grow in their profession. Anne and her partner are parents of a delightful toddler. Anne loves to read, cook, and play cards at coffee shops.
